Woman Critically Injured After Ejection in Houston Car Wreck

A woman was critically injured in a single-vehicle accident in northwest Houston, TX last weekend. The accident occurred around 2:45 on Saturday morning.

The woman was driving a white car on Highway 290 in Houston near Bingle when she lost control of her vehicle.

The car hit the inside wall of the highway, then crossed all lanes of traffic, flipping over before sliding to a stop on its side.

Police responding to the accident found the driver lying in the road. She was presumably ejected from the vehicle during the wreck.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later airlifted to Hermann for additional treatment. She remains on life support.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, a task made more difficult by the fact that there were no witnesses present.

They do not know if alcohol or a defective auto played a part in the crash. Our thoughts are with all of those affected by the accident.
