Vidor I.S.D. Suffers the Tragic Loss of Two Teens to Fatal Truck Wreck
Posted on Nov 14, 2011
The Houston accident lawyers at Denena & Points have the deepest sympathies for the surviving family and friends of two Vidor Independent School District teens who tragically lost their lives to a Ford F-150 pickup truck wreck on Saturday night. The fatal accident occurred on northbound County Road 4123, just north of Deweyville.
According to reports of the fatal truck wreck, the Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by 19-year-old Elizabeth Watkins, suddenly left the roadway, rolled over, and hit a tree. Justice of the Peace A.J. Satterwhite pronounced 14-year-old Kristen Kirkland and 13-year-old Mykala Ross dead at the scene of the fatal truck wreck.
Elizabeth Watkins was hospitalized in stable condition. 18-year-old Joseph Constantine, another passenger in the vehicle, was hospitalized in poor condition. Both teens suffered internal injuries.
The Vidor I.S.D. Superintendent and the Principal of Vidor Junior High both lament the tragic loss of the two teen girls and the serious injuries to the other two teen victims of the fatal truck wreck. They stress that students, parents, and faculty in Vidor I.S.D. face a difficult week with this fatal accident following less than a month after the tragic loss of the high school's football player, Matt Thomas, to a train accident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the Vidor I.S.D. after these sad and untimely losses of three young people.
