Tragic death occrs overnight after 18 Wheeler collides with an SUV

One woman was killed early Sunday morning in the northwest Houston area in a collision that occurred on 290. The woman was in a Jeep Cherokee vehicle with a man and two small children. The collision occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. It appears the driver of the SUV lost control and ran into a retaining wall on the highway. The SUV was then struck by the 18 Wheeler. All people in the car were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where the lady was later pronounced dead.
