Tragic 18 Wheeler Accident Near Houston

A Pasedena woman, Doris Walters, tragically died late Tuesday afternoon, July 19, in horrific traffic accident on U.S. 59 near Sugar Land, Texas. Our condolences and prayers go out to the family of Ms. Walters as well as those others injured.

The wreck occurred around 5:45 and was caused by the negligent actions of an 18 Wheeler driver. According to authorities the driver could not stop his big rig in time to avoid slamming into the back of another car which caused a 5 vehicle chain reaction crash. Two other vehicles crashed trying to avoid the collision.

Sadly, this type of preventable tragedy happens far too often on the highways around Houston and all over Texas. Distracted, overly fatigued 18 wheeler drivers get involved in inexcusable wrecks like this.
