Toyota Lexus Recalls Cars - Fuel/Gas Leaks Can Cause Fires

Posted on Jun 26, 2010

Toyota has announced the recall of 17,000 Lexus vehicles because the cars leak more gas than is allowed after crash testing. As part of routine, yearly testing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performed a series of crash tests on the Lexus vehicles. The tests revealed the cars leaked more gas than is allowed after the crashes.

Toyota claims that the company tested the cars in the same manner as the NHTSA and the cars did not leak too much gas. Toyota has not yet determined a fix for the defective condition in the vehicles.

If you own one of these defective cars contact Lexus Customer service at 1-800-225-3987 or www.lexus.com/recall. Additionally, post crash fires caused by leaking gas are one of the many types of unsafe car cases handled by Denena & Points. Check out more information here  on our website.
