Posted on Jun 14, 2011
A three-vehicle accident around 7:45 in the morning on Friday sent a two-year-old boy to the hospital.
According to police, the driver of a tan Chevy Trailblazer ran a red light at the intersection of Pearland Parkway and John Lizer Road and crashed into a white Ford truck driven by an off-duty Houston Police Department officer.
The collision flipped the Ford truck and sent the Trailblazer spinning 180 degrees. Another off-duty HPD officer driving a black Impala was also involved in the accident after the initial crash.
A two-year-old boy riding in a car seat in the Trailblazer sustained minor injuries in the crash, and was taken by ambulance to the Texas Children's Hospital to be treated.
Our thoughts are with all of those affected by this crash.
