Three Killed in Fiery Texas Truck Accident
Posted on Nov 18, 2010
Three people were killed in a truck accident in Webster on Saturday morning. The accident occurred around 3:45 a.m. on Interstate 45.
The driver of a GMC truck was speeding southbound on Interstate 45 when he slammed into the concrete divider barrier, sending the truck spinning out of control.
The truck came to a rest in a wooded area just north of the League city limits, but not before spinning across four lanes of traffic and bursting into flames.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, was able to escape from the car and was taken to a Houston hospital, but his three passengers, Maria Castillo, 18, Myra Castillo, 22, and Marvin Garcia, whose age is not yet known, were killed.
The four were returning from a bar near Interstate 45 and Fuqua in Houston. The driver, who is now facing felony charges, was not licensed and fled the scene.
Our sympathies go out to all of those involved in this fatal wreck.
