One Killed, One Injured in Truck Rollover Accident in Houston
Posted on Apr 22, 2011
A man, wife and child were involved in a rollover accident in Texas this week that left one dead and one injured. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The wrecker driver was headed eastbound on FM 2920 near Hanover Woods Drive in Harris County when the rear towing mechanism on the truck lowered, lifting the rear wheels off the road.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, tried unsuccessfully to control the truck, ultimately swerving into a drainage ditch on the right side of the road. The truck slid onto a grassy area and rolled over.
The driver was crushed and killed in the rollover. His wife, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and critically injured. Their child, who was buckled in the backseat, was not injured.
Our sympathies go out to all of those affected by this tragic truck accident.
