Negligent driver pulls in front of motorcycle: totals it at East River Rd

A Montgomery County motorcycle accident caused by a negligent driver in the early morning hours of New Year's Day completely destroyed a bike and sent its rider to the hospital with a possibly broken leg. Tyler Holt, riding a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-64, began his new year in the hospital.
Mr. Holt was northbound on the US 59 feeder road at the intersection with East River Road in Montgomery County when a Honda driven by 24-year-old Jessica Perry pulled out into the intersection right in front of him.
Holt's Kawasaki struck the Honda with such force that his windscreen went completely through the back window and landed on the back deck. The inside of the car's back door buckled from the impact just behind the driver's side door. The Kawasaki suffered complete destruction from the accident. Fortunately, Holt himself did not. No injuries were reported for Perry, driving the Honda.
Perry had paused at a stop sign at the intersection just prior to the motorcycle accident. The stop was marked with a warning that cross traffic does not stop. But Jessica Perry failed to regard the sign's warning and pulled out in front of Holt. She admits that she had seen him approaching, but that she assumed he would stop.
