Motorcyclist Killed in Houston Accident with Tractor-Trailer Truck

A motorcycle-truck accident in southeast Houston, TX claimed the life of a motorcycle rider last week. The fatal Houston motorcycle wreck with a truck happened around 6:40 a.m. on Thursday.

The male rider, who was in his 20s or 30s but has not yet been identified, was driving at 3800 Broadway under the Gulf Freeway when he came upon a big rig pulling a shipping container that was driving slowly or was stopped.

The rider apparently lost control of his bike coming upon the truck, and slid on his side under the truck. He then was apparently run over by the rear wheels of the big rig, dying as a result.
"Apparently, he saw the truck up ahead of him, an 18-wheeler truck, underneath the freeway.
The motorcyclist laid the bike on the side and slid underneath the truck and then the truck ran over the driver of the motorcycle and killed him," said HPD Sergeant. G.T. Hall.

The accident is still under investigation by the Houston Police Department. Our sympathies go out to all of those affected by this tragic accident.
