Man Sues Insurance Company for Failing to Pay Galveston Truck Accident Damages

A Texas man has filed a lawsuit against an insurance company, claiming they failed to pay his claim after a truck accident in Galveston, TX last year.

The man, Dennis Kroll, was stopped in traffic on Interstate 45 North when he was barreled into from behind by a tractor-trailer truck driver who was speeding and not paying attention.

Kroll's seat belt broke in the wreck and he sustained serious injuries to his leg, shoulders and neck. The driver of the big rig was underinsured and was not able to cover the damages.

Now, Kroll is bringing a lawsuit against Texas County Mutual Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Farmers Insurance, for refusing to pay more than $200,000. Kroll recently filed the suit in Galveston County District Court.
