Man Dies in Houston Car Wreck, Alcohol Possibly a Factor
Posted on Jun 05, 2011
A single-vehicle car accident in northwest Houston, TX left one man dead on Friday. Alcohol may have been a factor in causing the wreck.
The driver of a 2004 silver Nissan Maxima was headed west at high speed in the 100 block of Robmore around 3:45 am on Friday morning when he hit a curb on the side of the road.
The man lost control of his vehicle after hitting the curb, turning sideways and sliding across the road to hit a tree directly on the left side of the car.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. An autopsy is being done by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, after which his identity will be released.
Our sympathies go out to all of those affected by this accident. We urge all our readers to avoid drinking and driving at all costs.
