Intoxicated Driver Kills Another in Two-Car Accident in Houston

A drunk driver struck and killed another driver while traveling on West Sam Houston Parkway South Thursday around 3 a.m.
According to police reports, the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser was driving erratically and at a very high speed when it ran a red light and smashed into a Honda Civic passing Harwin Drive.
The Honda Civic, which was traveling west on Harwin Drive, burst into flames upon impact. A female passenger in the PT Cruiser was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in stable condition.
Johnothan Lacier Davis, who was operating the PT Cruiser, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter following the death of the female driving the Civic. The body of the driver of the Honda burned in the accident and is still awaiting identification through autopsy.
