Illegal, Uninsured Driver Kills Roger Jones in Harris County Crash

Jose Ivan Olivarez, 35, another unlicensed, uninsured driver in this country illegally killed a local citizen near a toll booth on West Sam Houston Parkway on Wednesday. Jose Ivan Olivarez drove a Chevy Trailblazer at high speed when he crashed into a wall just before 9:30 a.m. The Chevy Trailblazer bounced off of another wall and rammed into the side of a Mercury Mountaineer that had just gone though the EZ Tag lane.
Zhanna Jones was behind the wheel of the Mountaineer driving her husband Roger Jones to work. The impact from Jose Ivan Olivarez overturned the Mountaineer, killing Roger Jones instantly. Zhanna Jones escaped the toll booth crash with only minor injuries from the rollover. Jose Ivan Olivarez received transport to the hospital after the wreck, but news accounts of the toll booth crash did not release his condition. A female passenger in Olivarez's vehicle fled the scene of the wreck on foot.
Captain Terry Allbritton of the Harris County Constables' office said that investigators have clear skid marks from the toll booth crash. They will also try to extract data from the Chevy Trailblazer's black box. Investigators revealed that Juan Ivan Olivarez is an unlicensed and uninsured alien in this country illegally. He will be charged with criminally negligent homicide according to reports.
