Houston-Area Car Accident Kills 1, Injures Another

A car accident in Katy, TX, outside of Houston, left one dead and another injured. The wreck happened around 2:40 a.m. on Monday, February 7th.

Police say that the driver of a car lost control of their vehicle and slammed into a tree in the 2900 block of Katy near Morton.

One passenger in the vehicle was killed on the scene. Another was injured in the wreck, and taken to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.

The names of the victims have not yet been released. It is also still unknown who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
