Houston Truck Accident Kills Two People

Posted on Jan 22, 2011

Two people were left dead, and another two injured, after a multi-vehicle wreck in Houston, TX that occurred on January 15, 2011, around 2 a.m.
The accident happened when a brown pickup truck driven by Mark Spoonts rear-ended a black Ford F-150 stopped at a stoplight at the intersection of FM 1960 and Perry.
The driver of the F-150, Denzel Holmes, was killed by the impact. Spoonts, who was not wearing a seat belt, was also killed in the wreck.
A passenger in Holmes's truck, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries.
Two other cars were involved in the accident after the initial collision pushed the two vehicles into the intersection. One driver in these cars sustained minor injuries while the other was unhurt.
The Harris County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash. Our sympathies go out to all of those involved in this fatal accident.
