Houston Auto Defect Attorneys GM Announces Cadillac CTS Recall

Posted on Feb 28, 2011

Last week, GM announced a 44,000 vehicle recall to its luxury Cadillac brand due to a hardware defect in the rear suspension system that could lead to a loss of control and cause a crash.  The company admitted that the affected vehicles may have a condition in which a wax coating on the rear suspension nuts may allow the nuts to loosen, which could lead to toe link separation.  If this happens, the affected wheel could turn inboard or outboard causing a sudden loss of control.

GM reported that owners may hear a metallic clanking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle.  If you suspect that your vehicle may be affected by the recall, you are urged to immediately contact your local Cadillac dealer to have the issue diagnosed.
