Garbage Truck Accident Kills Pedestrian

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a garbage truck on its normal route on the morning of November 8, 2010 in west Houston.
The accident, as reported by MyFoxHouston and The Houston Chronicle, occurred around 10:30 a.m. at 11100 Briar Forest Road near Wilcrest.
Police say that a garbage truck struck a person, who may have been walking or riding a bicycle on the road. The person involved in the truck-pedestrian accident later died as a result.
WCA Waste Corporation owns the garbage truck involved in the fatal accident. Police have not released further details in the case, and it is still unknown what caused the accident and who is at fault.
