Elementary School Student Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident
Posted on Sep 29, 2011
On the morning of September 23, a Houston pedestrian accident occurred near Ridgemont Elementary School, injuring a young girl.
At about 8:15 a.m., a line of cars, full of children whose parents were dropping them off for school, formed at the entrance of Ridgemont Elementary School. This parent drop-off line extended past the intersection of Park Manor and Raven Ridge.
A young, female student who was heading to the Elementary school ran between the vehicles in the parent drop-off line. She was then hit at Park Manor and Raven Ridge by a driver who did not see her crossing.
The young girl sustained a possible knee injury in the accident. She was transported to Texas Children's Hospital to receive care for her injuries.
The Houston pedestrian accident lawyers at Denena and Points urge drivers to pay careful attention when driving and watch for children, especially when in neighborhoods and school zones. Children often make sudden movements, such as running across the street when it is not safe or bolting out from between vehicles. We at Denena and Points wish a quick and full recovery to the young girl who was injured in this accident.
