Drunk Driver Hits Houston Police Department Squad Car

On Thursday, a drunk driver crashed into a Houston Police Department squad car, resulting in his arrest.
The accident occurred when an HPD officer was working to clear up a single-vehicle accident in the East Loop at Clinton at around 11:15 p.m.
While the officer was working, a man driving a pickup truck crashed into the squad car. The officer, who was outside of the vehicle at the time, was not injured.
The pickup driver sustained no physical injuries, only a bruise to his pride and his wallet. He failed a sobriety test and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) on the spot.
