Dangerous Drivers in Liberty County Risking YOUR Life and Safety

Posted on Dec 02, 2011

Dennis Earley and Paulette Parsons, both from Birmingham, Alabama, led law enforcement officers on a dangerous high-speed chase through Liberty County Thursday morning. Both Dennis Earley and Paulette Parsons were jailed in Liberty County, making the local roads safer for the time being.

The couple's stolen car caught the attention of sheriff's deputies around 5 a.m. near U.S. 59 and FM 2025. The Liberty County Sheriff's deputies pursued, and the couple took off, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph. The pair did not hesitate to drive the wrong way at very high speeds on U.S. 59 as they tried to escape the law.

Dennis Earley also did not hesitate to use the stolen vehicle to ram a Liberty County Sheriff's car, causing it to crash into a wall and injure a deputy inside the vehicle. Sheriff's deputies fired at the fleeing vehicle, striking the front tire. The stolen car finally slowed around U.S. 59 and FM 105.

Dennis Earley was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault on a public servant. Paulette Parsons was held in connection with the theft of the vehicle, which was found to have stolen plates from yet another vehicle.

News reports don't tell us what crimes were so pressing that the Alabama pair was willing to risk lives and ramming a Sheriff's vehicle, an almost certain ticket to a deservedly long sentence. The highly dangerous path taken through Liberty County by the Alabama couple could easily have injured and killed many innocent people in dangerous accidents.

We're relieved that no one lese was harmed by their callous flight, and we send our sincere best wished to the injured deputy for a quick and easy recovery from his injuries. We also send heartfelt thanks to all of the deputies involved for taking Dennis Earley and Paulette Parsons off of our roads.
