Harris County Accident Lawyers on the Dangers of DWI to Multiple Innocent Victims in a FM 1960 Fatal Chain Reaction Wreck

Our Harris County accident lawyers take note of a fatal chain reaction wreck on FM 1960 caused by DWI. Harris County Sheriff's deputies say that a minor traffic accident in the westbound lanes of FM 1960 near Belleau Wood had slowed traffic around 8 p.m. on Thursday night. A woman driving an Infiniti had stopped on FM 1960 and was waiting for a chance to get around the minor accident when a Honda Civic rear-ended her vehicle.

The Honda Civic then skidded into the oncoming eastbound FM 1960 lanes and smashed into another Honda. The passenger in the Honda Civic died at the scene of the wreck with oncoming traffic.

The driver of the Honda Civic survived with multiple non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the oncoming Honda received transport to the hospital for injuries from the fatal car accident and is reported in stable condition. The woman driving the Infiniti was unhurt.

Harris County traffic officials say that the driver of the Honda Civic was affected by alcohol at the time of the FM 1960 fatal chain reaction wreck and is in custody for intoxication assault.

Harris County accident lawyers remind you that the dangers from DWI aren't limited to the impaired driver. The poor judgment, impaired reactions, and reduced decision-making abilities of a driver impaired by alcohol can affect a wide circle of innocent victims and take the lives of innocent passengers.

Don't drink and drive. The life you take could be your own. Or it could be your best friend.
