In a Houston DWI incident that caught the attention of our Lake Jackson accident attorneys, a flatbed truck turned right in front of a Houston police car rushing to respond to a call about a shooting. The Houston police car crashed into the flatbed truck that made the sudden and ill-advised turn late on Saturday night. The flatbed truck driver, suspected of DWI, was taken into custody.
The police officer on the passenger side of the patrol car suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash and received transport to the hospital. The officer driving the Houston police car received minor injuries from the accident with the flatbed truck. The drunken driver of the flatbed truck was unhurt.
