What can I recover after a car wreck?

A: The first thing you have to prove is that the other driver was at fault. Once you have established fault, you are entitled to recover the following losses:

- reasonable and necessary medical expenses, both past and future;
- lost earnings, past and future;
- physical pain and mental anguish, past and future;
- physical impairment, past and future; and
- physical disfigurment.

You must prove that each of these elements applies to your case and that the injuries causing these damages were caused by the wreck.
