If I was partly to blame for causing my motorcycle wreck in The Woodlands, TX, will I automatically lose my case?
A:
No. In Texas, you can hold up to 49% of the blame for causing the bike crash and still claim financial compensation from the others who helped cause the wreck. But if the opposing parties to your claim can show that you were at least half the cause of the collision, you lose your rights to claim anything from anybody. The opposing parties might include the other people involved in the wreck and/pr the insurers that would pay for your claim.
They'll have the public's negative image of bikers and government tables of accident statistics working in their favor. You'll have your hands full trying to overcome that bias as you seek fair compensation from those who actually caused your accident. It's a hard road, but don't give up. Let Denena & Points help.
