I was injured in a Texas motorcycle wreck, but I was not wearing a helmet. Am I still entitled to compensation?

A: Texas does not have a mandatory motorcycle helmet law.  While it is the best course of action to always wear a helmet when operating or riding a motorcycle, it does not prevent you from recovering if you did not cause the wreck.  It may, however, be relevant to your injury claim if you suffer a head or facial injury in the wreck.
