On dangerous drivers out on American roads with you & willing to kill

Our Houston wrongful death attorneys remain appalled by the many news reports containing disturbing accounts of reckless, intoxicated, and just plain hateful drivers who use their vehicles as weapons to kill innocent people. Generally speaking, the reports say that the killers never even met the victims of their crimes before they took their lives.

You may have read about the worthless father in Arlington, TX who crashed multiple times affecting at least 10 vehicles. He had his two twin toddlers in an SUV with him as he crashed into a pickup at around 100 mph, killing the pickup's driver. Then he fatally shot a man who approached his SUV.

In Canada, surveillance videos show Jeffery Kevin Leinen of Calgary pulling up about 10 to 15 meters away from a milling crowd, idling his truck for a few moments, accelerating into the crowd and striking people with the truck, then turning and driving away. Jeffery Kevin Leinen killed one 18-year-old man with his actions and seriously injured a 19-year-old. Caught and facing the consequences of his crime, Jeffery Kevin Leinen now tells authorities that he's sorry and that he didn't mean it. Surveillance videos indicate he did mean it. And "sorry" won't bring back a lost life.

Then in Richmond, these Houston wrongful death attorneys read that Circuit Judge Bradley B. Cavedo just released 40-year-old Christopher Sessoms on bond into the care of his parents. Witnesses saw Christopher Sessoms deliberately cut across all lanes of traffic at around 90 mph to cut off a Honda Accord and maneuver it off the highway and into a concrete guardrail that sent the Honda airborne to crash into a bridge abutment below. The Honda's driver was killed as the Honda itself was obliterated by the impact.

Reportedly, Christopher Sessoms had never met the Honda driver before he killed him. He faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, driving with a suspended license (it had been suspended since 2003), and death resulting from reckless driving by racing. Christopher Sessoms has a lengthy criminal record that includes a drug conviction. At the time of his arrest with his girlfriend who was a passenger in the truck when they forced the Honda off the road into the deadly crash, his girlfriend had a substantial number of drugs on her person.

The judge released Christopher Sessoms on bond to be overseen by his parents until trial. His mother insists that Christopher Sessoms doesn't have a drug problem and that the parents will get him to his court appearances. Our Houston wrongful death attorneys feel that the lengthy criminal record and deadly behavior of Christopher Sessoms indicate that his parents haven't done a very good job of supervising him or controlling his behavior in the past.

Our Houston wrongful death attorneys caution you about the many dangers and reckless, even deadly, drivers that you might encounter out on the North American roads. If you're injured or you tragically lose a loved one to someone's negligence on the road, you might have questions about what you should do and how you can seek just recompense for your undeserved losses. Contact us online or toll free at 877-307-9500 for a free legal consultation. We could answer your questions and help you find the proper road to financial recovery.
