Ford Expands Airbag Recall in the F-150
Ford has greatly expanded the Ford Airbag Recall of the best selling vehicle in America, the Ford F-150 pick-up truck, to nearly 1.2 million vehicles. In addition, 16,000 Lincoln Mark LT vehicles are beign recalled. The recall centers on a possible short circuit that could cause the airbags to deploy unexpectedly. Obviously, this could be a very dangerous situation. Under the Ford Airbag Recall, owners are asked to bring in their vehicles right away if their airbag warning light is illuminated. Ford claims this warning light is illuminated for "an extended period" before the driver's side front airbag deploys placing everyone in the vehicle in extreme danger. Who really knows what "an extended period" even means. At any rate if your light comes on get to a Ford dealership right away.
